Which wrong answer to fix first

Percentages fail because ratio fails, and ratio fails because fractions do. A list of wrong answers hides that: it shows three crosses where there is one problem, and it invites reteaching the last thing that broke rather than the first. This orders the topics by what has to work before what, finds the wrong ones that nothing broken comes before, and says how many of the other crosses those explain. The map it uses is printed in full on the page, because a prerequisite map is an argument and an argument that hides its premises is not one.

Adult numeracy tutors, training providers and anyone marking a diagnostic and deciding what to teach next.

How it works

  1. Paste one line per topic with the result: right, wrong or untested.
  2. Read the number of places to start — that is the size of the job, not the number of crosses.
  3. Work the 'start here' list; the 'these wait' list is waiting on it.
  4. Check the untested topics that sit downstream of a break: they are unknown, not fine.

What you gain

  • Finds which wrong answer is the actual root cause behind several others, so tutoring time goes to the one topic that fixes the chain instead of reteaching every symptom separately.

How to set up & use

  1. Buy the license — your key (lic_...) appears on the order page and in your email.
  2. Sign in at app.synoriaai.com with your license key.
  3. No installation — the product runs in your browser, on your own isolated instance.
  4. 1. Open the app and enter your test results: list each topic with 'wrong' next to it.
  5. 2. Click 'Add' to include your own prerequisite edges if you know any (e.g., 'fractions before ratio').
  6. 3. The tool instantly shows the number of 'places to start' — the minimal set of wrong topics that aren't caused by other wrong topics.
  7. 4. Review the full map: it displays every edge you entered or that was inferred, so you can verify the logic.
  8. 5. Use the 'size' and 'risk' counts to plan: size tells you how many independent problems exist, risk shows how many topics are affected downstream.

Frequently asked questions

Does this tool store my test data or share it with anyone?

No. All data you enter (topics and edges) is processed locally in your browser and never sent to a server. The map and counts are generated on your device.

What does 'UNKNOWN' mean in the results?

If a topic hasn't been tested but depends on a broken prerequisite, it's marked as UNKNOWN — we don't assume it's fine. It's not counted as wrong, but it's flagged as at risk.

Can I add my own prerequisite relationships?

Yes. You can add edges between topics. If you create a loop (A before B and B before A), the tool will refuse it because there's no clear starting point.

Each plan includes a fixed number of requests for the license period. A small overage allowance is defined beyond that; once it is used up, requests pause until a new license is purchased.
Yes. Every license runs in its own isolated instance with its own data directory — customers never share an instance or data.
On-chain payments are never lost. Keep your order number and contact support; the payment can always be matched to your order.
